Our Mission

We created the Noah Lee Legacy Foundation to support families facing childhood cancer especially when accessing care means leaving home.

Inspired by our experience with Noah, our mission is rooted in three commitments: easing the burden of travel, supporting progress in neuroblastoma research, and building a community where families don’t have to face this alone.

As a part of that mission, we define our work through these values:

Compassion

We utilize personal experience to translate empathy into tangible, timely support.

Humility

We walk with families and partners with respect, and with listening hearts.

Empowerment

We serve to help them fight another day by bridging gaps that prevent families from staying together.

Hope

We refuse to give up on the idea of a better tomorrow for everyone.

Our vision is to be a growing community where families facing pediatric cancer are supported financially, emotionally, and relationally; strengthened by a network of donors, hospitals, and volunteers inspired by Noah’s story and others like him.

What Traveling for Treatment is Like

Throughout Noah’s treatment, we were guided and supported by exceptional medical teams. What we didn’t expect was how heavy the burden of travel would become once care required leaving home.

After Noah relapsed, we pursued specialized expertise and clinical trials across the country. Other parents often pointed us to where the next treatment option might be. Traveling for care meant booking flights, securing lodging, coordinating hospital visits, and managing Noah’s health, all while trying to keep our family together.

At Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, lodging quickly became one of the biggest challenges. Before securing a spot at the Ronald McDonald House, we often covered hotel costs of $500–$700 per trip. For short stays, we were initially ineligible, despite being in the middle of ongoing treatment. In contrast, lodging support was available immediately during Noah's care in New York, Philadelphia, and Hershey.

That gap was impossible to ignore. Medical care can be guided and compassionate, but without a place to stay, families are left carrying an added weight they shouldn't have to bear.

Having a place to stay shouldn’t be another battle families have to fight.

Our Focus Today

We are a young foundation, and we’re choosing to start where we know the need is real and immediate.

Travel & Lodging Support

Right now, our primary focus is helping families cover travel and lodging costs when accessing care means leaving home.

We're starting at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, where Noah received care and where his oncologist directs the New Approaches to Neuroblastoma Therapy (NANT) consortium. Beginning with a focused partnership allows us to provide real, hands-on support while we learn how to scale with intention.

Care Packages for Caregivers

We provide care packages to families navigating treatment away from home—filled with practical items like snacks, toiletries, journals, and comfort items that can make long hospital days a little easier.

These packages aren't just about logistics. They're a reminder that someone sees what families are going through and wants to help shoulder the weight, even in a small way.

Looking Ahead

As we grow, so does our vision.

We're committed to increasing travel support for more families, expanding care packages and practical assistance, funding neuroblastoma research and clinical trials, and building a community rooted in compassion and shared strength.

Every step forward is guided by intention—and by the belief that families deserve support when they need it most.

Carry the Mission Forward

This mission was born from our family's experience—but it's only possible because of a community that refuses to let families face childhood cancer alone.
